Two old souls who found each other. He loves her hardworking and outgoing personality…not too mention how cute she is! She loves his laid back energy and affectionate nature. Kat grew up with a grandma that loved to thrift and collect vintage pieces – and the two of them are frequent visitors to the Sac Flea Market (my personal fave too!) Spending the day with them was like spending it with old friends…there sweet, light-hearted and pet loving ways made our Easter engagement shoot fly by. I give you….Kat and Dan! Hope you enjoy their love story!
Our 2012 wedding season started off with a bang with Dominique and Joe’s beautiful Santa Rosa wedding at the John Ash Winery. Dom got ready with her beautiful girls at the Vintner’s Inn which was an amazing backdrop for the day.
We love cute flower girls like these!
Officially the SEXIEST wedding shoes to date!
I love finding little love notes from brides and grooms in their room…it’s these little pieces of the day that I love capturing for my couples!
Dom and Joe chose to have a first sight for their wedding day – I love her expression at the moment he sees her for the first time. PRICELESS!!!!
Simply gorgeous light and a gorgeous bride!
Dom and Joe chose Johnny Cash’s “If I were a carpenter” for their first dance. So sweet, romantic and unique!
Father daughter dances get me teary eyed every time…this one was no different!
I couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of Dom and Joe’s wedding day. Many blessing to years of love and happiness you two!
I am SUPER excited to share that today we found out HI-FI Weddings published my Wed Fest styled shoot! This shoot was a labor of love in sweltering heat last summer and I’m so thrilled we can finally share it with the world! If you love music festivals – run on over to HI-FI to check out some eye candy inspiration!
When I think of the boys I went to school with in 8th grade…none come to mind that I want to marry. But, for Andrea and Jeff…little did they know they were on a path of romantic destiny. Andrea was lucky in unknowingly meeting her soul mate so young in life and reuniting with him in college. Andrea fell for the sincere and funny Jeff who grew up to be quite a catch. Jeff fell for that adorable smile and well…”everything about her!” Seriously…she’s adorable…what’s not to like! The two enjoy heading to the wine country (in between football Sunday!) so we snuck out for a fun and romantic Napa engagement session.
Check out their little love story movie trailer…too cute!
Heather and Aaron are quite the artful couple. Heather’s a musician who’s personality is magical…there’s no other way to describe her! She just has such an amazing energy and we connected from the very beginning. Aaron is a very talented artist himself and helped established a local collaborative gallery – Tangent Gallery. Together they are quite the creative powerhouse! Heather and Aaron decided early in the planning stages that they wanted to be surrounded by their closest friends and family for their intimate ceremony at their home. So with 20 of their closest guest they opened their home and shared their I do’s.
Heather wore a beautiful J.Crew wedding gown…it was perfect for her!
A cute hair piece found on Etsy!
Heather wore vintage boots that belonged to Aaron’s grandfather who had recently passed…of course you can’t forget six pence in the shoe for good luck too!
Heather’s maid of honor designed the bouquet and boutonniere…so cute and crafty!
A glimpse of their close friend who introduced the couple and made this day possible!
The backdrop for their wedding was a work of art in itself. Each piece was handcut from felt and applied to the wall individually…stunning!
Balloons filled with handcut confetti fly through the air after the I do’s!
Their neighborhood is filled with canopies of trees…I love the yummy backdrop they make!
We just happened upon this vintage truck in the neighborhood and couldn’t resist a smooch and a pic!
The couple ended the evening with dinner at their favorite restaurant – Tower Cafe. If you haven’t been to brunch here…it’s a foodie must!
We were super excited to find out Borrowed and Bleu wedding blog wanted to feature Heather and Aaron’s intimate ceremony with the world! You can check out more photos and their story here!
Christine and Blake decided to tie the know in the beautiful sierras at The Lodge at Whitehawk Ranch. The location is breathtaking and makes for the perfect backdrop to for such an amazing outdoor Tahoe wedding.
I love capturing that moment when a mother sees her daughter for the first time as she prepares for her big moment.
Grandma gets a little teary eyed as Christine puts on her gown…tears of joy were flowing that day!
The best part of being a Tahoe wedding photographer besides the gorgeous locations is the gorgeous brides. I absolutely LOVED Christine’s modern and sleek updo – it looked absolutely amazing on her!
A tricky dress bustle can really put a damper on your day. It’s always a good idea to have a few people who know how to bustle your dress. Doing bustle trial runs before the big day makes for a less stressful wedding day.
First sights are always so fun and cute! I love Christine’s expression as she gets ready to surprise Blake.
How cute are these two?! They make such an adorable couple!
The mountain backdrop at The Lodge at Whitehawk is just stunning!
Check back tomorrow for part 2 of Blake and Christine’s fabulous Tahoe wedding!
Anna and Jose have a globe trotting love story. Anna is a nor cal girl and Jose hails from the beautiful town of Valencia, Spain. The pair met and fell in love at college in Southern California. They made their way to New York for law school and eventually landed back in Europe where they are both thriving with their law backgrounds. When it came time to get married, they decided California was the place to tie the knot.
I love getting mom’s reaction when the dress finally goes on!
These are some fun wedding shoes! Brides are really getting creative with their shoe choices…I love it!
The girls wore beautiful dresses from Zara…one of my favorite euro stores!
It is such a treat to be a Sacramento wedding photographer when you have a beautiful back drop like the Flower Farm Inn to photograph an adorable couple.
The guests had a great time in the photobooth provided by SJ’s disk jockey.
A gorgeous sunset for a gorgeous bride and groom! The day couldn’t have been more perfect!
